چکیده
Objective: The current study emphasizes the effects of stem and leaf methanolic extract mangrove plant Avicennia alba on human tumor cell lines HeLa MCF-7.
Method: collected sample was subjected to extraction with methanol screened for anticancer activity according 3-(4,5-dimethythiazol- 2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay method. ability inhibit proliferation MCF-7 procured from NCCS Pune compared parallel inhibitory effect standard drug Cisplatin. spectrophotometric optical densities obtained were plotted graph consecutive data depict IC50 values. histopathology studies also done a clear insight understand depth inhibition microscopically.
Results: MTT performed illustrates samples different concentrations (10, 20, 25, 30, 50 μg) showed significant comparison values OD elucidate effective projection as potential source based comparative study. revealed an clearer picture how cells growth controlled. It found that A. exhibited more against than lines.
Conclusion: synergistic various phytochemicals present in played role establishing source.
